The original asking price was $3,000... and it did not sell at that price, then it went to $2,000 and it still didn't sell. So I added the guy on facebook a few months ago when I first saw the listing, and I messaged him about a week ago. He is moving this week and just wants to get rid of the car (I couldn't have asked at a more perfect time) and offered to sell it to me for $1,000 he wrote all of this on my facebook wall.

The engine has been completely rebuilt, and the T5 transmission was rebuilt about 3 years ago my AAMCO.

Also, the car has a broken right tail light and a small gouge in the spoiler from the garbage man backing into it, so he is going to include a green LX wing with the car.

Here is what he has invested into the car... before I list the stuff, notice he switched it from fuel injection to carburetor, I think because it makes it easier to work on the cams, roller rockers and valve springs.

Quote:
Here is everything that I have put into the motor when I rebuilt it, so yes, it has had an overhaul and I used the best components. Before I rebuilt the motor completely, I was getting close to 300HP, so it is very fast, handles great too.
Like I said, it is a manual and the clutch is in perfect condition. The car is very reliable and I have not been stuck in it, however I do all my own maintanence. I drive all the time up to the hartford area from stamford. Let me know if you want to take a look at it, but only if you are really serious about purchasing as I am very busy before and after work.

Summit Racing Dual plane intake manifold.
Holley 650 cfm carb-
GT40P heads-
GT40P short headers-
Flowmaster exhaust (has the cats on as well)-
F303 Ford camshaft-
Roller Rockers 1.6 ratio-
Trickflow dual valve springs. -
Ford Racing Aluminum valve covers-
HEI ignition-
ARP bolts used throughout the entire top/bottom ends and for accessories, intake, etc. -
3 y.o. T5 transmission-
stock rear-
Pro 5.0 shifter-
130 amp alternator-
The tires have a ton of tread. I don't beat on the car and pull smoke shows with it either. The drivers side is not as perfect as the passenger side, but there is no rust.

The car sounds like this with it's F303 cam.

So, all in all, I'm liking it. When he gets time I am going to see it this week. I don't care about the paint, I'm going to fix that. The tail light is a relatively cheap eBay fix, and the turbine rims are coming right off and being replaced with 03 Cobra style rims. So, what do you think?

From what you have provided us with that sounds like a deal. Buttt remember the super cheap I am moving soon deal is also the premises for a scam. So check the car out and make sure its not a lemon. Good luck.

Yes well, I've seen the pictures on facebook of his new place. He has a fiance and I'm pretty sure they are living together. I really have a feeling that it isn't a scam. I know their are going to be parts of the car that will need to be treated a projects, but thats what I am looking for and somewhat expecting. As long as the engine, tranny and shocks are in good shape I'm ok. The paint, wheels, brakes and lights/accessory stuff I can do no problem.

   Well my friend you've gone and done it@! ahah jp for a project car not bad if that's what your looking for. But let me give you some advice carburetors = fail. Ill explain further on this later. Relating directly to the car chances are from the pictures it's been in a front end collision i really can't tell how badly but I can tell the front clip has been replaced. because the paint is different on the front clip compared to both fenders and hood. Also seeing the rust around the door handles that has been painted over I have a pretty decent feeling that when you open the doors to that car the door itself will drop an inch or two because the metal where the door hinges are attached two are thin, and weak and can't withstand weather like that car looks like it has taken. Motor wise =). If that guy put that motor together properly, including all tolerances, and complete gasket set that thing will be a fun reliable car. However the part about not beating on it no one i can think of does head work and throws a CAM in his commuter car from Stamford to Hartford. Last thing before i pass out cause I am so tired it's got a stock rear end probably going to need a pinion bearing if you want to keep the stock 323's however upgrade tow 390's like I was going to. And as for the carburetor situation let's just say leave a little earlier for school and work cause it's going to be really fun to start and drive in the morning not including jetting for future mods, and gasket rebuild kits for when the bastard starts to act up. Good luck to you man hope you find the one your looking for. The only thing I ask you to do is make sure it doesn't look like this Image..

LOL, well I know this car is going to be a project and that is what I am looking for. It will NOT be a daily driver, just a weekend car, if that.

The only thing that is bugging me is I am almost positive the car has been in an accident, I remember checking the VIN when I had carfax and it was in real bad shape. Stuff like failed emissions, incorrect odometer readings and I am almost positive there was an accident on it.

The car was originally blue, I could tell because the engine bay was blue in the pics on facebook when he was replacing the engine.

I just want a cheap muscle car that I can work on, and tool around in at night/on the weekends.

Here is the VIN, 1FACP42E6LF141977 if anyone could run a carfax that would be awesome.
